Increasing rates of student fighting and classroom misbehavior is a significant challenge in many schools and classrooms this year.
We know that positive relationships between and with students play a facilitatory role in learning and classroom management. These relationships can also support positive mental health and the development of self-regulation. As students heal from the multifaceted impacts of the pandemic, their need for these forms of healing are necessary for their long-term wellness and their ability to re-engage with school.
In this session, participants will learn:
*The impact of social connections on cognitive development and self-regulation
*How to harness social connections to optimize learning environments
*The power of connection to heal and maintain wellness for students and educators alike
